Biography: Thomas Pickering BA (Hons) FIET cut his teeth at Lucas Automotive and reached his career goal becoming a plc director at 28. As CEO he has led 30 turnarounds in the last 13 years. He has formed, trained and led one of the largest independent teams of turnaround professionals and created some bespoke methodology to realise results much faster, because he has had to. He is comfortable at engaging in special situations, and transforming thinking as a means to transform profits. The approach has been proven in both the most successful and/or challenged businesses, including leading a Cranfield Award Winning Business. Thomas is CEO of Icebreaker was voted 2015’s Global Turnaround and Restructuring Firm of the Year.
