If you look at the macro or micro reductions in profit, diminishing investor returns, environmental damage, control, privacy implications, digital feudalism, economic rent, societal, people, market outcomes from “these trends”, you wouldn’t follow them, so why are they presented as inevitable?
So should CEOs put aside these trends, and get a grip of their business and realign strategies to get back to the basics such as making money / people / environment objectives? I do agree with the analysis on maintaining agility of change paths, realising latent diversity and agile learning to keep the organisation and strategy aligned.
The point about societal businesses outperforming others too because whats the baseline you propose a “digital utopian company” following these trends or one that disregards those trends? ai innovation ceo venturecapital
